Enjoy the wildlife

Meander through the valley and willow plantation or just picnic by the river, taking in the breath-taking sight of kingfishers and beautiful dragonflies as they skim the fish filled ponds. Armed with trail maps and borrow bags, children and adults alike can seek out the many wonders of nature. Unique opportunities available to try include pond dipping, mini-beast detecting or discover and spot the amazing wildlife from the specially built hides (disabled access).
Two family suitable colour coded circular walks have been mapped for your enjoyment to explore our beautiful valley (unfortunately not every area is suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs). For an unforgettable experience our badger watch evening is not to be missed.

Wildlife photography

We have two private and spacious permament hides for you to get closer to our wonderful birds and animals with your camera.

One hide is sited close to a pond in the river valley and attracts a wide variety of subjects. The other is sited overlooking a badger sett and in addition to daytime use for general wildlife provides a great opportunity for photographing the badgers when they emerge from the sett after dark.

There is also a portable hide available by arrangement which can be used in any suitable location on the farm.
